This year’s school improvement plan will focus on SPHE (Social, Personal and Health Education). In association with the Aghamore GAA club, the school will promote a ‘Run a 1k-a-day’ initiative. For the next eight weeks, children will be encouraged to run for at least 1k each day, either on school grounds, at Boland Park or in Aghamore’s GAA grounds.
A fire drill will take place in the school before the Hallowe’en break. Two safety-related reports are currently being reviewed by the members of the board: a safety statement for the school and a document relating to the administration of medicines. It is hoped that these can be ratified when the board next meets.
The next meeting of the board will take place in the school on the evening of November 15th, at 7.30pm.
