A meeting of the BOM took place in the school on Monday, February 26th. All members of the board attended.
Enrolment has taken place for next year’s junior infants. 12 children will enter that class in September 2018. On the other side of the equation, 16 children will be leaving for secondary education, meaning the school will have 113 pupils during the next school year.
Critical incident policy: The critical incident policy draft is now completed. Each member of the board was given a copy at this meeting, to take home and review over the coming weeks. The intention is then to ratify the policy at the next BOM meeting.
The board hopes to secure cross-community support for the installation of a defibrillator on the school grounds. Other organisations in the community will be contacted in the weeks ahead, in relation to this.
The board sends its sincerest best wishes to teacher Elaine Cresham, who will be getting married on St. Patrick’s Day!
The next meeting of the board will take place in the school on Monday, April 16th, at 8pm.
